The foundation of AMI Förder- und Lagertechnik GmbH laid the foundations for a success story in conveyor technology. From the very beginning, the focus has been on developing innovative components and systems that impress with their quality and efficiency. The construction of a modern production hall and high-performance machinery paved the way for future-oriented development.
AMI caused a sensation in the industry: the rotary feeder, patented throughout Europe, enabled significantly higher throughputs at a constant speed – a milestone for efficient material flows. At the same time, production capacity was significantly expanded. The growing vertical range of manufacture and flexibility made AMI a sought-after partner for demanding automation projects.
With the move to Luckenbach, AMI united all company divisions in one place – a strategic step that created space for innovation and growth. During this phase, pioneering developments such as the AMI palletizing system and a proprietary IoT solution for implementing Industry 4.0 requirements were created.
The changes in the retail sector called for flexible and digital solutions. AMI responded with high-performance conveyor technology, intelligent software and perfectly coordinated overall systems. The optimization of conveyor lines and the development of individual solutions have made AMI a driver of innovation for intralogistics in the digital age.
With automated picking systems such as the SMARTFLEX-DEPOT, AMI focused on intelligent goods distribution. At the same time, the machinery was modernized again to further increase the vertical range of manufacture. The dynamic goods storage system has opened up new possibilities in order picking – fast, compact and ergonomic.
AMI expanded the main plant and doubled the production area, increasing the vertical range of manufacture to around 90%. New products such as the fully automatic SMARTFLEX DEPOT and the HIGHSPEED DEPOT expanded the portfolio. The expansion of the production facility marked the beginning of a new era – characterized by technological progress, a clear vision and consistent further development.
AMI Intralogistik GmbH was newly established by KÖHL Maschinenbau GmbH and TRIWO AG and continues the business operations of the former AMI Förder- und Lagertechnik GmbH. With TRIWO AG Trier as its majority owner, the company combines proven expertise with new, promising prospects for the future.
